Emilien Simonot has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Emilien currently holds the position of Head of Agrivoltaics in the EMEA & APAC regions at Lightsource bp. Prior to this, they worked as a Startup Mentor at Techstars Sustainability Paris. Emilien also served as the Head of Renewable Energy Innovation Center at GALP, where they were responsible for creating and managing the center's operations.

Emilien's previous role was at InnoEnergy, where they held multiple positions including Strategic Asset Manager/Investment Manager, PMO - Project Management Officer, and Renewable Energy Technology Officer. Emilien played a key role in supporting start-ups and scale-ups in the energy industry, identifying and capturing large industrial projects, and developing corporate innovation programs.

Before joining InnoEnergy, Emilien founded and directed Hack The Wind, a project focused on wind energy innovation. Emilien also worked at REOLTEC as a Technical Secretary, where they contributed to the development of Spain's wind energy sector.

Emilien began their career as a Project Engineer at Asociación Empresarial Eólica (AEE), conducting technology watch, market intelligence, and business development activities in the wind energy field. Emilien also gained experience as an intern at Skograektin Iceland Forest Service, Corporación Nacional Forestal, and ONF (Office National des Forêts), where they worked on ranger duties, mining environmental impact assessment, and forest-related projects, respectively.

Emilien Simonot's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Lycée Faidherbe - Lille and completed their Classe Préparatoire BCPST degree in 2004. In 2004, they enrolled at AgroParisTech and received their Ingénieur de AgroParisTech Engref degree in 2008, specializing in Forêt. In 2010, Emilien pursued further education at Universidad Europea, where they obtained a Master Universitario en Energias Renovables degree in 2011. Lastly, in 2015, they attended INSEAD and completed the Management Acceleration Programme, focusing on various fields including Organizational Behaviour, Strategy, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Operations.
