João Amaral

João Amaral is currently the Head of Digital Transformation and Automation at Lightsource bp, a position they have held since 2023. Previously, João worked as the Head of Controlling at EDP Produção from 2019 to 2023 and held various roles at EDP Renováveis, including Financial Planning and Control Manager from 2011 to 2015 and Head of Planning and Control for Offshore Wind from 2017 to 2019. João completed an Executive MBA at IE Business School in 2016 and holds a graduate degree in Economics from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, obtained in 2006, as well as a Post Graduation in Accounting from FEP - Faculdade de Economia da Universidade do Porto in 2010. João also gained early experience through an internship in Accounting & Controlling at EDP - Enernova in 2006.
