David Marcus

David Marcus is the co-founder and CEO of Lightspark. David was previously a board member of the Diem Association from October 2019 to December 2021. Prior to that, they were a member of the board of directors of Tipping Point Community from February 2017 to June 2019. From August 2014 to December 2021, they were the head of Novi at Meta. Marcus also served as president of PayPal from August 2011 to July 2014. David founded and served as CEO of Zong, which was acquired by eBay/PayPal in August 2011. Marcus has also been a member of the board of directors of Coinbase from December 2017 to August 2018 and chairman of echo6 from October 2006 to June 2008.

David Marcus has a degree in Economics from the University of Geneva.
