Joe Minton

Joe Minton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Joe began their career as an Option Trader at Group One Trading, LP in 1998 and later started their own business as a Volatility Portfolio Manager/Trader in 2002. In 2004, they worked as an Option Trader at Parallax Fund, L.P. and continued their solo venture as a Volatility Portfolio Manager/Trader until 2010. Joe then joined Merriman Capital, Inc. as a Managing Director and Head of Derivatives until 2012, followed by a role as Managing Director at Livevol Securities, Inc. from 2012 to 2015. Joe's most recent role was as EVP, Institutional Trading at Lightspeed Financial Services Group, where they have been since 2015. In addition to their professional achievements, Joe is also involved in community service and oversees the Joan Minton Memorial Scholarship, which supports college-bound seniors who show dedication to volunteerism and community involvement.

Joe Minton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a focus on Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1995. Additionally, they pursued further education in Portfolio Management through UC Berkeley Extension. Alongside their educational background, Joe Minton holds a number of certifications in the finance industry, including the Series 24, Series 4, Series 55, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 7, which were obtained from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
