Social Media Strategist at Lightspeed PR/Marketing

Brittany Oat's work experience began in 2007 as an Off-Air Reporter for ABC News. Brittany then worked as a Washington, D.C. Correspondent for WSEE/WENY before becoming a Reporter for WPTZ/WNNE. In 2008, they joined News 12 as a Reporter/Fill-In Anchor until 2010. Following that, they worked as a Digital Content Producer/Account Manager at Robin Leedy & Associates. During this time, they grew Facebook pages and pitched brands' stories to media outlets. From 2011 to 2012, they served as the Director of Communications for Senator Greg Ball, where they developed and executed a social media strategy and oversaw a communications team. In 2012, they became the Director of Communications for The Business Council of Westchester before transitioning to the role of Social Media Community Manager at Team Detroit. In 2015, they became a Social Media Strategist at Lightspeed PR. Throughout their career, Brittany Oat has also been a Guest Speaker and Panelist at various social media panels and educational events.

Brittany Oat attended Boston University from 2003 to 2007 and earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism.
