James Ephrati

James Ephrati is a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, where they focus on growth and private equity investments. Prior to joining Lightspeed, James was with Battery Ventures, where they sourced or executed investments in companies such as Mews Systems, Curve Dental, and WebPT. Before Battery Ventures, James worked in investment banking at Moelis & Company and Citi, and in asset management at Bedrock Group.

James Ephrati attended the University of California, Berkeley where they earned a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Industrial Engineering.

Their manager is Ravi Mhatre, Founder & Managing Director. They are on a team with Amanda Frink - Head of People, Tal Morgenstern - Partner, and John W. Thompson - Venture Partner.
