Michael Decaro

Michael DeCaro serves as the CISO and Head of IT at Lightspeed Venture Partners since May 2022, having previously held multiple significant technology and cybersecurity roles within the venture capital and private equity sectors. As the Executive Director of Support The Kid for Cancer since August 2010, Michael facilitates financial support for families affected by cancer. In addition to founding CyFi Advisors in January 2022, providing strategic counsel to venture funds, Michael also held positions as a Director and Fractional CISO/CIO at Halcyon Financial Technology and as Advisory CIO/CISO at DeCaroIT. Michael has contributed to ICONIQ Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners as VP, developing and executing technology strategies with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity. Educational background includes attendance at Auburn University and Marion Military Institute, with earlier studies at Terra Nova High School.
