Jay Shah

Jay Shah is the Co-Founder and CTO at Lilac Cloud. Jay was previously a Senior Product Architect at Akamai Technologies, and before that, a Senior Technical Architect and Leader at Cisco.

At Akamai, Jay focused on Live and On-demand Streaming Video and Gaming products. Jay worked across multiple customer segments including broadcasters, publishers, OTT operators, cloud providers and network carriers.

At Cisco, Jay led Innovation Charter for Software Defined Networking (SDN), Network Virtualization, Network Automation and Network Function Virtualization solutions for Service Provider (SP) Carrier Ethernet and Mobile Back-haul Access and Aggregation networks. This included designing new SDN services to address the needs of customers. Jay worked externally directly with key Tier-1 and Tier-2 Service Provider customers and internally led the engineering team, collaborated with the marketing team, standards representatives and other company technical leaders, and worked closely with executive management to define vision and strategy.

Jay Shah has a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Jay is also certified by Cisco in CCDA, CCDP, CCIE #13837, CCIP, CCNA, and CCNP.

Jay Shah works with William Foland - Chief Scientist, Consultant, Bhakta Raghavan - Managing Director & Co-Founder. and Simon Sabato - VP, Hardware Engineering reports to Jay Shah. Jay Shah reports to Harish Devanagondi, Founder, President & CEO.
