Ted Maple

VP, Education at Lilly Endowment

Ted Maple has dedicated their career to education. Ted began as a classroom teacher in 1997 and quickly rose to the position of Early Childhood Program Director at St. Mary's Child Center. In 2005, they became the Director of Success By 6/Director of Education at United Way of Central Indiana. There they provided direction and leadership for United Way's education priority with a focus on early childhood and school-age programs and policies. In 2013, Ted became the President and CEO of Early Learning Indiana. Ted held this position until 2017 when they were recruited by Lilly Endowment to be their VP of Education. In this role, Ted is responsible for leading Lilly Endowment's initiatives to strengthen educational opportunities in Indiana.

Ted Maple's educational career includes a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Indianapolis, a Ph.D. in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Specialization from Ball State University, and an M.S. in Elementary Education from Butler University.
