Dr. Marc Gruner's work experience includes serving as a Mayo Clinic Research Collaborator and Sports Medicine Fellow at Mayo Clinic from 2019 to present. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Medical Officer at Limber, a digital health solution, from June 2019 onwards. Dr. Marc also served as a Resident Physician and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital from March 2015 to June 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Resident Physician at Christiana Care Health System from March 2014 to March 2015. Before embarking on their medical career, Dr. Gruner was self-employed as a Personal Trainer and Nutritionist from January 2007 to May 2009.
Dr. Marc Gruner has an impressive education history. Dr. Marc obtained their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015. In the same year, they also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Healthcare Administration Management from Virginia Tech.
From 2016 to 2019, Dr. Gruner attended Georgetown University, where they completed a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In 2020, Dr. Gruner attended the Value Based Healthcare Intensive Seminar at Harvard Business School, enhancing their knowledge and expertise in Value Based Health Care.
In addition to their educational accomplishments, Dr. Gruner has obtained several certifications. Dr. Marc is registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography (RMSK) with the APCA and has certifications in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation: Sports Medicine from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Marc is also registered in Medical Sonography - Musculoskeletal (RMSK) with the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement (APCA).
