Kalgi Shah

Kalgi Shah has a diverse work experience in the field of data analysis and data science. Kalgi is currently working as a Data Scientist at Lime since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Scoop Technologies, Inc. as a Data Scientist from December 2019 to May 2021. During their tenure at Scoop Technologies, Inc., they played a key role in establishing best practices for geospatial data usage and integrating it into existing systems. Kalgi also led the Geospatial Insights effort and worked on driving actionable insights for Customer Success and Sales using geospatial analysis, time series forecasting, and machine learning models. Additionally, they collaborated with ML engineering teams to improve ride-match rate metrics using geospatial features. Before joining Scoop Technologies, Inc., they worked at Apple as a Senior Data Analyst from May 2016 to November 2019. During their time at Apple, they led the automation of Points Of Interest evaluation and implemented various data analysis projects related to POI overlaps, duplicate POIs, and weighted sampling of POIs. Kalgi also evaluated POI anomalies and its interaction with different Maps features using geographic information systems. Prior to Apple, they worked as a Transportation Analyst at CEPT University from June 2012 to December 2015.

Kalgi Shah earned a Master's degree in Transportation Planning from CEPT University, which they attended from 2010 to 2012. In 2017, they also completed a Data Science Fellowship at Metis, specializing in the field of Data Science.
