Senior Manager, Market Expansion at Lime

Safeer Shersad has diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2017, they began their career as an Urban Designer at Line Planning Ltd and later joined Harrow Council as a Junior Project Officer in the Regeneration Unit. During their time at Harrow Council, they conducted analysis of community feedback to provide advisory reports for local councillors.

In 2018, Safeer worked as a Researcher at UN-Habitat, where they analyzed urban youth socioeconomic data and contributed to the UN's Global State of Urban Youth Report. Safeer then joined Node Urban Design as a Graduate Urban Designer, where they prepared masterplanning and development frameworks for various projects, including the Worcester City Centre 2040 comprehensive plan and the landscape masterplan for Wolverhampton University.

In 2019, Safeer interned as an Urban Environments Intern at NBBJ Design. Safeer conducted geospatial analysis and completed public space appraisals for Boston's PLAN: Downtown masterplan. In the same year, they started their graduate studies at Harvard University, pursuing a Master's in Urban Planning. During their time at Harvard, Safeer held various roles, including Teaching Assistant for GIS and Urban Planning Core Studio courses, Research Assistant for Prof. Ann Forsyth, and Student Programs Liaison.

In 2020, Safeer worked as a Rappaport Public Finance Fellow at MBTA, where they coordinated regional procurement and drafted performance evaluation plans for bus transit priority projects. Safeer continued their studies at Harvard until 2020.

In 2021, Safeer joined Buro Happold as a Graduate Consultant, working on various projects in the Cities division. In 2022, they transitioned to the role of Consultant, specializing in urban planning.

Currently, Safeer is working at Lime as a Senior Manager of Market Expansion, where they are involved in expanding the company's market reach.

Safeer Shersad has a diverse education history in the field of urban planning and design. Safeer holds a Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University but also pursued additional learning opportunities at other prestigious institutions. Safeer engaged in cross-registration programs at both the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Harvard Kennedy School, further enriching their knowledge in urban planning and design. Safeer Shersad also completed a MSc in Urban Design and City Planning from UCL and holds a BA (Hons) in Architecture and Urban Planning from Newcastle University. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained the Certified Planner (AICP) certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) in August 2022, further demonstrating their expertise and commitment to the field.
