Xiaomin Song has a strong background in machine learning engineering. They currently work at Lime as a Staff ML Engineer since March 2022, and previously served as a Senior ML Engineer from October 2020 to March 2022.
Prior to Lime, Xiaomin worked at Alibaba Group from July 2017 to November 2020, where they held the position of Senior Algorithm Engineer in the Machine Intelligence Technology department of Damo Academy. Their work involved building machine learning models to address real-world problems for Alibaba Group.
Before Alibaba Group, Xiaomin worked at Hexint LLC as a Senior Data Engineer from November 2016 to July 2017. In this role, they contributed to projects such as cracking Google reCAPTCHA with Deep Learning and developing a Twitter threat intelligence system.
Xiaomin began their career at Intel Corporation in May 2013 as an Engineer. Their responsibilities included data mining and analysis of large volumes of process data and equipment logs to identify root causes of equipment failures and process deviations. They also provided technical support for photolithography, creating recipes for new products and optimizing processes to enhance yield and reduce defects.
Prior to their industry experience, Xiaomin worked as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from September 2007 to December 2011.
Xiaomin Song received a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tsinghua University from 2003 to 2006. Their undergraduate education was also at Tsinghua University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, Xiaomin Song has acquired two additional certifications: a Master In-Demand Professional Soft Skills certification from LinkedIn in October 2022 and a Bayesian A/B Testing certification from Udemy in March 2020.
