Nikhil Rai

Nikhil Rai currently serves as an SDE 2 at Limeroad, where responsibilities include leading a team of four engineers to develop a scalable semantic search and recommendation engine for over 5 million products, achieving a 75% improvement in response times through migrating to a distributed cloud architecture. Nikhil also designed and maintained payment-gateway agnostic services, enhancing checkout conversions by 8% and retention by 15%. Previously, Nikhil held the positions of SDE 1 and SDE Intern at Limeroad, and was involved with the National Service Scheme at DTU as Council Head and Executive. Nikhil gained early experience as a Software Development Intern at RetainIQ, focusing on the development of admin dashboards and authentication systems. Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering from Delhi Technological University, completed in 2023.
