Maria C. has a wealth of experience in the culinary industry. Maria began their career in 2011 as a Chef de Partie at The Bald Faced Stag and earned their Professional Cookery Qualification while working there. In 2013, they were promoted to Pastry Chef at The Pig and Butcher, where they were responsible for overseeing daily tasks, stock levels, and pre-bookings. In 2016, Maria moved to The Hops and Glory as a Sous Chef. In 2019, they were Head Chef at Highlander Bar, where they managed a team of 10+ and was responsible for menu and costings. Later that year, they became Sous Chef at Fargo & Co, where they managed the kitchen and a team of six chefs. In 2020, Maria co-founded and became Head Chef at Miss Mac's, where they handled graphics, marketing, social media, and admin. Most recently, in 2022, Maria began an apprenticeship as a Full Stack Software Developer at Limio.

Maria C. began their educational journey in 2010 when they attended LaSwap Sixth Form, where they earned their AS Levels in IT, Graphic Design, and Film Studies. In 2021, they obtained four certifications from SheCodes, SheCodes Workshops, and freeCodeCamp in SheCodes React, SheCodes Plus, Responsive Web Design, and SheCodes Basics. Maria is currently attending Founders and Coders, where they are enrolled in a Skills Bootcamp in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, they have attended Westminster Kingsway College, where they obtained an ABC in Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef and an NVQ in Culinary Arts/Chef Training.
