Luc Henry has been working in the science and technology sector since 2013. In 2013, they began working as a freelance writer for The Conversation UK, writing science news stories in the fields of biotechnology, chemical biology, and synthetic biology. In 2014, they became the Managing Editor of LargeNetwork's flagship science magazine, Technologist, as well as a co-founder and President of Hackuarium, and an Editorial Board Member of the LIFT Conference. In 2016, they became a Scientific Advisor to the President and Director of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). In the same year, they also co-founded Science Booster on the Swiss crowdfunding platform wemakeit.com. In 2017, they became a Scientific Advisor to the President of EPFL. In 2020, they joined the Brain Tumour and Immune Cell Engineering (BTICE) group at the University of Geneva, and also became the CEO and co-founder of Limula. In 2021, they began working as a Visiting Scientist at EPFL.
Luc Henry completed a Maturit\u00e9 F\u00e9d\u00e9rale in Biology and Chemistry at Gymnase de Morges from 1999 to 2002. Luc then attended EPFL (\u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne) where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from 2002 to 2004. Luc then attended Uppsala University for an Erasmus exchange program in Biochemistry from 2004 to 2005. Luc returned to EPFL (\u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne) and completed a MSc in Chemical Biology from 2005 to 2007. Luc Henry then attended the University of Oxford where they earned a DPhil in Chemical Biology from 2008 to 2012. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Europe and US Drug/Device Product Development and Regulations from San Diego State University. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Innosuisse Business Creation from Venturelab in August 2019 and a certification in PH125.1x: Data Science: R Basics from edX in February 2019.
