Vinod Koul

Vinod Koul is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the development and deployment of open-source, Linux-based solutions, particularly for Qualcomm devices. Since May 2018, Vinod has served as Sr Tech Lead at Linaro, where responsibilities include leading the Qualcomm Services business, managing high-performing teams, and executing BSP development and security updates. Prior to this role, Vinod contributed as a Tech Lead, focusing on customer projects and building client relationships. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Sr Software Engineer for the Qualcomm Landing Team, specializing in upstreaming Qualcomm Chipsets. Vinod's tenure at Intel Corp from December 2005 to May 2018 involved leading the technical direction for Linux audio drivers across various platforms. Educational qualifications include an MS in Telecommunication from the Indian Institute of Science and a BE in Electronics from Nagpur University.
