Jim Klein has extensive work experience in various roles within the automotive industry. Jim began their career in 1999 as a Regional Sales Manager at Arvin Meritor Automotive Inc, where they oversaw a sales agency and managed a team of 22 sales representatives. In 2008, Jim joined OK Tire Canada as a Mechanical Retail Support Representative, where they coached franchisees in Western Canada to increase profit on mechanical purchases and organized workshops to improve shop productivity.

Jim Klein attended Bev Facey Community High School from 1983 to 1986, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Later, they pursued education at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) from an unknown start year to 1991, earning a degree as a Licensed Automotive Technician with a specialization in Automotive.
