Wanda E Alonso Colon is an experienced educator with a diverse background in teaching and library management. Currently serving as a 6th Grade ELA and Developmental Language (ESOL) Teacher at Discovery Intermediate School since August 2017, Wanda specializes in lesson planning, student evaluation, and intervention strategies. Previous roles include ELA Instructor at Discovery Intermediate School and Osceola County School District, Bilingual Teacher and Librarian at Dallas Independent School District, and Tutoring Supervisor and Instructor at NETS. Additionally, Wanda has held library management positions with the Departamento de Educacion de Puerto Rico and served as an ESL Teacher early in the career. Wanda holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Library Science and Administration from Universidad del Turabo and a Bachelor's degree in Language Arts from Universidad Interamericana Arecibo Campus.
