Marcos Torroba has been working in the field of video production and scientific illustration since 2018, when they began working at Byta Visuals as a Videographer, video editor, and scientific digital illustrator. Prior to this, they worked at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics from 2014 to 2018 as a Scientist in Molecular Genetics, where they were responsible for generating stable and transient transfected cell lines, protein production, purification and sorting, co-immunoprecipitation assays, and analysis of histone modifications and chromatin-associated proteins. Before this, they worked at Lund University from 2012 to 2014 as a Scientist in Neurobiology, where they developed a novel technique to perform a randomized DNA digestion and designed and cloned adeno-associated virus expression vector libraries. Currently, they are working as a Video content creator at Vectornator by Linearity.
Marcos Torroba obtained a Licenciatura in Biología molecular from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid between 2006 and 2013.
