Shane Bussmann

Shane Bussmann is a Principal Data Scientist at LineVision and currently serves as a Principal Computer Vision Scientist at CIBO Technologies. Previously, Shane held the role of Lead Data Scientist at Understory, Inc., where they developed algorithms for rainfall and hail detection, significantly expanding project scope and improving detection capabilities. Shane has also contributed to astrophysical research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where they authored numerous publications and supervised research operations. Shane earned a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Arizona and a B.A. in Physics and Astrophysics from UC Berkeley.
