Michael Hedges has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Michael currently works as a Seminar Tutor at the University of Leeds since September 2021.

Prior to that, they served as a Content Author at Lingoda GmbH from November 2019.

From November 2016 to August 2019, they worked as an Adult Education English Tutor at Wakefield Council.

Michael also worked at The English Teacher Training College and Bilingual Classroom Initiative (ABCi) as an Academic Manager from April 2015 to August 2016 and as a Student ESL Teacher from January 2015 to March 2015.

Furthermore, they volunteered as a Literature Festival Volunteer at Cheltenham Festivals in October 2014.

Michael Hedges has a strong educational background in English language and literature. Michael started their educational journey in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Sheffield. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2014, they further pursued their passion for English literature by enrolling at the University of York in 2017. There, they obtained a Master's degree in English Literary Studies in 2019. Building upon this foundation, Michael is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy - Ph.D. program at the University of Leeds, with a focus on English literature and sound studies. Additionally, they hold additional certifications including CertTESOL from Trinity College London and specialized modules on CLIL and YL (Bands 3 & 4) from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
