Mark Kaufmann has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Mark is currently the Chief Executive Officer at LingQ, an online language learning system and community. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder of LingQ for a decade. Mark also worked as the President of KP Logix, a company they joined in 2009. In addition, they served as a Director at KP Group of Companies since 1990. Mark has experience in the field of language learning, as they served as the Chief Operating Officer at The Linguist Institute, where they helped develop an online language learning system. In the past, they worked part-time as an Assistant Software Designer and Process Trading Documentation professional at MDFP Sales / KP Wood Ltd, where they were involved in software activities, design, QA testing, CAD drawings, and sales and shipping documentation. Mark has also pursued a career in hockey, playing for the Portland Pirates and the Canadian National Team based in Calgary.

Mark Kaufmann received their BSc in Engineering (Mechanical) from Yale University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Mark also obtained several certifications in various languages from LingQ.com, including Italian and French, with the latest certification being a Certificate of Achievement - Japanese Intermediate 1, obtained in 2020.
