Bob Hemmer is the current Chief Information Officer at LingroLearning.

Prior to their current position, Hemmer served as Editor in Chief of World Languages at Pearson Education from January 2001 to February 2016. From June 1999 to July 2001, they were a Senior Acquisitions Editor at John Wiley & Sons. Hemmer also worked as an Academic Consultant for Modern Languages at St. Martin's Press from January 1996 to December 1998.

Before their career in publishing, Hemmer was an Assistant Professor at Marquette University from August 1995 to July 1996. Bob then briefly worked as Editorial Director at Nonce Publishing from May 1998 to June 1999 before returning to academia as an Assistant Professor at the College of St. Benedict / St. John's University from August 1993 to July 1994.

Bob Hemmer has a Ph.D. from Georgetown University, a Master's Degree in Spanish from Georgetown University, an MDiv in Theology from Christ Seminary-Seminex, and a B.A. in Spanish and Theology from Valparaiso University.
