Sara Markert

Sara Markert has over 20 years of experience in the legal industry. Sara currently holds the position of Vice President of Compliance & Privacy at Link Logistics since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as Vice President, Legal Compliance at Revantage, A Blackstone Portfolio Company from September 2021 to March 2023. From May 2019 to August 2021, they served as Counsel at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. Before that, they worked at Ocwen Financial Corporation - US as Senior Counsel, Litigation & Technology from December 2014 to May 2019. Sara also has experience as a Managing Attorney at Houser LLP and an Attorney at Eskridge Law. Sara began their legal career as a Law Clerk at Best Best & Krieger LLP and gained additional experience as a Summer Associate at Lewis Brisbois and a Legal Intern at Austin Law Group. Throughout their career, they have specialized in areas such as Financial Services, Commercial Disputes, Real Estate Litigation, and Compliance.

Sara Markert obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English - Literature from California State University, Fullerton from 2001 to 2003. Sara then pursued a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law from Golden Gate University, School of Law, completing it from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, Sara has obtained certifications in various fields including being an Attorney and Counselor from the New York State Bar Association and the State Bar of California. Sara is also a certified Real Estate Broker from the California Department of Real Estate, and holds The Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
