Ron Mercier has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Ron currently works at Linode as an Associate Customer Support Specialist, where they manage and responds to server VM-related tickets and resource requests. Ron troubleshoots system failures and bugs as a Hardware Test Engineer at Woven Planet (Randstad). During their time at AT&T, they served as a Senior Network Technician, overseeing the installation and repair of internet services and leading a team for MDU Fiber builds. Ron also worked as a Help Desk Specialist at New York Community Bank (NYCB), handling user administration and troubleshooting network and software issues. Ron began their career with the United States Department of the Navy as a Submarine Electronics Technician, where they were eventually promoted to Lead Petty Officer and was responsible for the administration and training of division personnel.

Ron Mercier received their Bachelor's degree in Software Development from Western Governors University in 2021. Prior to that, they attended Kaplan University from 2013 to 2015 and obtained an Associate of Science degree in Information Technology. Ron has also earned several additional certifications, including User Interface Designer from CIW in April 2021, Responsive Web Design from freeCodeCamp in February 2021, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2021, and CompTIA Project+ from CompTIA in June 2020.
