Daniel Gaines has held a variety of roles in the design and production industry since 2007. Daniel began their career as a Graphic Production Artist at Chinese Laundry in 2007. In 2010, they moved to National Picture Framing Centers, Inc. as a Production Manager, where they managed a production team of up to 15 people, supervised the shipping and receiving of all production orders, logged and tracked in-process orders in a software system, communicated with the production team regarding progress, problems, and quality control, and purchased production supplies and materials. In 2011, they began freelance design work for Screen & Print as a Print Designer. In 2016, they joined City Picture Frame as both a Design Manager and Purchasing Manager. In 2019, they moved to Health4TheWorld Inc. as a UX Designer, where they rapidly iterated wireframes and prototypes for an educational mobile app, led UX team meetings, investigated 3rd world mobile technology usage and internet connections, and presented and live-tested prototypes with international students. In 2020, they joined TextMe, Inc. as a Product Designer, and in 2022, they moved to Linqia as a Product Designer.

Daniel Gaines received their Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts, General from the University of Southern California in 2005. Daniel then went on to receive a Design Certificate in Design and Visual Communications, General from Bloc in 2019.
