Mark Carlson

Mark Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Mark started their career in 1984 at Owens Corning, where they held various positions in process engineering, manufacturing, shift supervision, production team leadership, and operations management for a period of 10 years.

In 1994, Mark joined Monsanto Company as a Business Team Leader at the John F Queeny plant, a role they held for three years before transitioning to a similar position at Solutia Inc. (Monsanto Company spin-off) for a brief period in 1997.

In 1998, Mark joined SAP as a Pre-sales Product Engineer/Demo Engineer/Solution Engineer and held this role for nine years. During their tenure at SAP, they also worked as an Industry Principal in the Chemical Industry and as an Industry Value Engineer, specializing in the chemical industry. In 2014, Mark was promoted to the Director of the Global Chemical IBU (Industry Business Unit) at SAP, a position they held until 2023.

In 2023, Mark joined Linx-AS, LLC as the Director of Strategic Alliances & Partnerships. Linx-AS is a consulting firm specializing in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Environment, Health, & Safety Management (EHSM), and User Experience (UEx) in the SAP domain.

Mark Carlson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1979 to 1984. After a gap of six years, they pursued their Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Marketing & Management at Dallas Baptist University, which they completed between 1990 and 1992.
