Marcelli Grimau is a seasoned Principal Photonics Engineer at Liom, specializing in system concept development and experimental verification for a novel optical sensor aimed at non-invasive glucose monitoring. With prior experience as a Senior Photonics Engineer, Marcelli contributed to photonics and spectroscopy system integration at Liom. At ams OSRAM, Marcelli served as Manager of Innovation Labs, leading R&D efforts for innovative products, following a role as an R&D Engineer focused on novel photonic technologies. Marcelli's academic journey includes a postdoctoral research position at the University of Basel, where research centered on nanoscale resolution magnetic field sensing, a PhD in Physics from the University of Calgary with a focus on quantum photonic technologies, and additional degrees in photonics and mechanical engineering from prestigious institutions.
Liom
The first health wearable monitoring glucose non-invasively. New health insights are unlocked through real time combination of signals. Precision glucose measurements without piercing the skin. This is a world's first. Why glucose? Small irregularities in glucose metabolism compound over time. The progression from healthy to disease is often imperceptible. Awareness is a powerful tool for prevention.
