Irene Yang

Irene Yang currently serves as the Assistant to the SVP of TV Development at Lionsgate, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Irene gained experience as a Partner Agent Assistant in the TV Scripted department at WME from May 2022 to August 2023, managing client communications and project submissions. Irene's earlier roles include Development Manager at Immortal Studios, where responsibilities included the adaptation of Chinese-language Wuxia novels and strategic planning for a multi-platform media story universe. As a Creative Executive at Starlight Culture Entertainment, Irene oversaw the development of numerous film and TV projects, collaborating with top industry professionals. Irene produced the AFI thesis film "Out of Place," which received multiple awards and festival selections. Academic credentials include an MFA in Producing from The American Film Institute and a BFA in Film Directing from Beijing Film Academy.
