Peter Michaelis

Peter Michaelis has extensive experience in sustainable investment. Peter served as the Head of Sustainable Investment at Liontrust Asset Management PLC since April 2017. Prior to that, they held positions at Alliance Trust, where they were the Head of Investment from August 2012 to April 2017, and also the Head of Sustainable Investing from August 2012 to March 2017. Before joining Alliance Trust, Peter worked at Aviva Investors as the Head of Sustainable Investment from December 2000 to August 2012.

Peter Michaelis pursued their education in a sequential manner. Peter began their academic journey at the University of Oxford from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics, graduating with a Master of Arts (MA). Following this, they enrolled at the University of Sussex in 1993, completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy and Environment engineering in 1994. Peter then proceeded to the University of Surrey, where they undertook a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program specializing in Environmental Economics, which spanned from 1994 to 1997.
