Thomas Wallner has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Thomas founded Liquid Cinema in 2016 and is currently working there. Before that, they were the owner of DEEP Inc. where they produced, wrote, and directed feature films, television shows, games, and interactive media. Prior to DEEP Inc., Wallner was the owner of Xenophile Media, a cross-platform production company that specialized in documentaries and interactive media. Thomas also worked as a lecturer at the Ludwigsburg Academy of Performing Arts and as a writer and producer at IPL Interactive Project Lab. Wallner began their career as a producer and writer at Extend Media, where they worked from 1998 to 2001.

Thomas Wallner attended York University from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Film Production.
