Jonas Alin

Jonas Alin has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Jonas is currently working at Liquid Wind as a Project Director, a position they started in 2023. Before that, they were a member of the Leadership Programme at the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences from 2022 to 2023.

One of Jonas' longest tenures was at Vattenfall, where they held various roles. From 2018 to 2023, they worked as the R&D Director, managing a department specializing in ICT, data science, and AI. Jonas was also recognized as the "Chief Digital Evangelist" at Vattenfall. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Transaction Analyst, conducting independent project reviews and implementing strategic portfolio steering.

Before joining Vattenfall, Jonas had experience as an R&D Manager and Project Manager, where they initiated and managed R&D projects, including a secondment as an Assistant Project Manager. Jonas was also an Acting Manager for the R&D section, leading a team of engineers and project managers.

Aside from their roles at Vattenfall, Jonas held other positions such as a Board Member at Sundbyberg Avfall & Vatten AB from 2018 to 2022, Chairperson of the Board at Sharpcrowd AB from 2018 to 2020, and a Business Developer at ChlorOut AB from 2011 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Jonas worked as a Technical Consultant at E.ON from 2006 to 2009 and as a Production Engineer at Yara International from 2002 to 2005.

Jonas Alin received their MSc in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, where they studied from 1995 to 2001. In the year 2000, they also completed a 4th-year abroad program at UNSW as part of their Chemical Engineering degree. Additionally, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Energy Systems from The University of Edinburgh in 2005-2006.
