Michael Hunter has gained extensive work experience in the manufacturing industry. Michael started their career as a Supplier Quality Engineer at Sony Ericsson Mobile Comm. in 1999 and later joined Cree and Cree, Inc. as a Process Engineer in 2003. In 2005, they became a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at Boston Scientific. Michael then worked at Envisia Therapeutics as an Executive Director of Manufacturing in 2014, before joining Liquidia Technologies in the same role. At Liquidia Technologies, they progressed to become the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations, demonstrating their leadership capabilities and expertise in the field.
Michael Hunter attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Science with a focus on Biomaterials. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University from 1997 to 1999.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael Hunter obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. Michael earned a Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from North Carolina State University in 2002. Furthermore, they obtained a Quality Auditor certification from the ANSI National Accreditation Board/ANAB in 2000.
