Kar-Wing Lau has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kar-Wing is currently the Chief Technology Officer at LiquidStack, where they founded Allied Control and developed 2-phase immersion cooling solutions for datacenters and edge applications. Prior to this, Kar-Wing co-founded Love My Pearls Ltd., a company specializing in sourcing and selling South-China Sea pearls online.
Kar-Wing also has experience at Agility, where they served as the Senior Manager of Global Quality and Knowledge Management, as well as the Regional Project Manager for Asia-Pacific. In these roles, they designed and implemented a global integrated logistics quality management system and oversaw IT and process improvement projects for various customers.
Earlier in their career, Kar-Wing worked as the Global Operations Manager at Pacific Game Technology, a leading online retailer for video game products. Kar-Wing also served as the Chief Executive Officer at Connecta AG, an IT consulting firm, leading its transformation from a private company to a public one. Additionally, they have worked as a self-employed freelancer and as a 3D designer for Ruske & Puehretmaier.
Kar-Wing Lau has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Strategic Quality Management from the University of Portsmouth. Kar-Wing also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Sunderland. Furthermore, they pursued International Business Administration at Fachhochschule Wiesbaden and completed their education with a degree in Media Designer for Digital and Print Media with a focus on Multimedia Operations from Berufsschule Frankfurt am Main for Media and Advertising. Additionally, Kar-Wing Lau has obtained a Lean Six Sigma certification in December 2007.
