Rocky Lin

Rocky Lin has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Rocky currently serves as the Director of Engineering at LiquidStack since July 2021.

Prior to this, Rocky worked at Siemens for a significant period starting in 2008. Rocky held various positions, including Head of Research and Development - Smart Infrastructure, Head of Project Management - Building Technologies, and Senior Product Development Manager. During their time at Siemens, Rocky managed the daily operations of the R&D center in ShenZhen and Hong Kong, built and managed engineering teams, controlled product development activities, and fostered innovative solutions to meet customer needs.

Before joining Siemens, Rocky worked at Whirlpool Corporation from 1999 to 2008. There, they held the roles of Sr. Engineering Manager, Electronic Development Manager, Project Manager, and Senior Project Leader. Rocky developed the engineering team in Greater China, controlled all aspects of electronic and software development activities, and drove the department's annual targets for sustainable business growth.

Rocky's career began in 1996 at FG Wilson (Engineering) FZE, where they served as Sr. Electrical Engineer and Electrical Engineer. Rocky implemented E&M projects in the Asia Pacific region, directed groups of engineers in China, and provided technical training to engineers, clients, and sales teams.

Rocky also had a brief stint at ABB in 1998 as a Project Engineer, where they implemented power supply and control system projects and handled project tendering and contract negotiation.
