Walton Stinson

Walton Stinson has a significant and diverse work experience. Walton started their career in 1972, working at ListenUp where they served as the President until January 2020. From there, they became the Chief Executive Officer.

In 2014, Stinson joined ProSource Buying Group as the Vice Chairman, a position they held until November 2021. Walton then took on the role of Chairman. ProSource is the largest specialty and consumer-electronics merchandising group in the United States.

Stinson also has experience in founding and directing companies. Walton founded and served as the Director of Stinson Beech Ltd from 1996 to 2003. Walton held a similar role at KnowledgeLink, a venture capital-funded internet startup, from 1999 to 2001.

Additionally, Stinson worked at HARMAN International as a Director of Madrigal Audio Labs. Walton was a member of the board of directors for this audio equipment manufacturer and distributor from 1989 to 1996.

Stinson co-founded and served as Director of Assured Systems, a retailer-owned distribution company, from 1982 to 1989. The company eventually merged with Home Entertainment Source (HES) to form ProSource.

In 1979, Stinson founded the Professional Audio Video Retailers Association (PARA) and served as its President until 1983. PARA became the largest trade association for specialty consumer electronics retailers and manufacturers in North America.

Currently, Stinson is the Director of Human Security for All, a position they have held since December 2021.

Walton Stinson's education history is as follows:

From 1962 to 1966, they attended Webster Groves High School and obtained a diploma in Electronics Technology.

Walton then went on to Knox College from 1966 to 1970 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics.

Later, from 1983 to 1985, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Colorado Boulder.

In terms of additional certifications, in 1966 they obtained an Extra Class Operator License from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

In 1978, they obtained a First Class Radiotelephone Operator License from the FCC.

In 1985, they acquired a General Radiotelephone Operator License - PG from the FCC.

More recently, in 2021, they received a certification in Lighting Design from the ProSource Buying Group.

Lastly, in 2022, they obtained a certification in Business Applications of Blockchain Technology from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
