Chris Buchanan

Chris Buchanan has over two decades of experience in the software development industry. Chris is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Litera, where they oversee the engineering department. Prior to that, they held the position of Software Development Manager at Kira Systems. Before transitioning to management roles, Chris worked at Ricoh Canada Inc. as the Senior Manager and Manager of Software Development, leading teams located in multiple countries to develop cloud-native solutions. Chris also worked as a Solutions Architect and Development Consultant for various clients as a self-employed professional and as the Director of Enterprise Software Development at Equitrac Canada ULC. Chris began their career at Navtech, where they held various roles, including Installation Management Specialist, Team Leader, and Intermediate Software Developer.

Chris Buchanan pursued a degree in Mathematics at the University of Waterloo from 1994 to 1999.
