Michael Deal

Michael Deal, CPA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and controllership roles. Currently serving as VP of Controllership at Litera since March 2023, Michael previously held various key positions at Appriss, including VP Controller, Director of Accounting, ERP Systems Manager, and Manager of Accounting, where notable achievements included orchestrating a global team to unify accounting operations across multiple legal entities and enhancing operational control frameworks. Prior to Appriss, Michael was Financial Reporting Manager at Payment Alliance, focusing on improving reporting efficiency and team productivity, and worked as an External Reporting Analyst at Yum! Brands. Michael began the career at PwC as a Senior Assurance Associate. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Kennesaw State University.
