David Cooper is the Director of Global Mental Health at Teladoc Health. He has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years and has been a part of Teladoc Health since September 2021. David is passionate about helping others and providing them with the resources they need to improve their mental health. He is a strong advocate for mental health awareness and education, and he strives to make sure that everyone has access to quality mental healthcare.
David Cooper worked at Finding Sciences, Inc. from Feb 2015 to Feb 2017 as Co Founder. In this role, he was focused on getting kids and tweens engaged in STEM and creativity through educational play.
David Cooper worked at Goodwill Industries of Northern New England from Jul 2010 to Jun 2011 as Pre-Doctoral Intern in Neuropsychology. He conducted individual therapy with clients who have a variety of brain injuries primarily over issues with adjustment and adaptation to chronic illness. He also addressed comorbid psychological issues including depression, anxiety and substance abuse. He worked as a member for a treatment team to develop plans to assist clients with independence with activities of daily living and incorporate latest research and treatments of brain injury into the overall rehabilitation strategy. David administered, scored and interpreted various neuropsychological assessment batteries to children, teens and adults to diagnose, assess and make recommendations to address cognitive impairments. He engaged in research opportunities that include analyzing outcomes of neurorehabilitation and assess for feasibility of new treatments, draft manuscripts for publication and present results at national professional conferences.
David Cooper worked at Associated Clinical Services from Aug 2008 to Jun 2009 as a Clinical Extern. He conducted individual integrative therapy sessions with approximately 10-15 clients per week. His clients ranged in age from 10 to 80. He administered educational and neuropsychological assessments and full psychological batteries, drafted reports and provided feedback to clients. He also created informational materials on common mental health issues and disorders to distribute to clients and peers.
David Cooper worked at Congressional Management Foundation from Jun 2006 to Sep 2006 as Training Consultant. He provided training for new interns and staff assistants with the House of Representatives, with class sizes ranging from 20-35 students. The training included topics such as stress management, peer communication skills, professional development, customer service skills, conflict resolution and personal efficiency.
David Cooper worked at House Republican Conference from Apr 2003 to Oct 2004 as Managing Editor – GOP.gov. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of the award-winning website, including drafting copy, designing layouts, training House Republican staff, administering the site, and supervising a $150k redesign of the site. He was awarded a Gold Mouse for successfully completing the redesign of the site. Additionally, he created a graphic design operation from scratch by incorporating Adobe Suite into existing workflows.
