Little Slugger is a Tokyo-based musician-led creative studio that brings musical thinking to storytelling.

Music is a way of thinking. It teaches you to listen before you speak, to know what to leave out as much as what to put in. That discipline, applied to artist development, brand identity, and documentary-style storytelling, produces work that connects rather than just performs.

For artists, we work on the full picture: sound, identity, narrative, creative direction, and documentary-style visual work that captures who an artist is at a specific moment in time. Something to build from. Something that lasts.

For brands and personal brands, we shape the story and the sound, from the narrative that holds the brand together to the sonic identity that makes it recognizable before a single word is spoken. When a brand is launching or in transition, we capture that process too.

We also work across songwriting, music production, and playlist pitching through active relationships across Spotify Japan, Amazon Music Japan, YouTube Music Japan, and Avex.

Founded by Kris Roche, musician, composer, and creative director with fifteen years of work across NHK, UNIQLO, NTT Docomo, Netflix Japan, Aniplex, avex trax, Cover Corporation, Capcom, and more.

Based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. Operating in Japanese and English.
