John Simeles is a seasoned Field Clinical Engineer with extensive experience in clinical studies and engineering within the medical device industry. Currently employed at LivaNova since January 2020, John supports VNS device implants and programming for challenging depression cases in the RECOVER Study. Prior to this, John held various roles at BIOTRONIK from January 2012 to January 2020, notably as Lead Engineer for multiple clinical studies, including post-approval studies, where responsibilities encompassed project management, report writing, training, and the development of study protocols. John also has research experience as a Lab Assistant at Portland State University, contributing to biosensor development for cardiac health indicators. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from Oregon State University.
