Sharon O'kane

Dr. Sharon O'Kane is a Director at LivaNova, a global medical technology company. Sharon has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, with a focus on clinical development and drug discovery. Sharon has served on the Clinical Advisory Board at ScarX Therapeutics, as an Expert Advisor at Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst, and as a Member of the Faculty of Life Sciences Business Development External Advisory Board at the University of Manchester. Dr. O'Kane also served as Entrepreneur in Residence at UMIP, where they provided mentorship and guidance to early-stage companies.

Sharon O'kane has a diploma in company direction from the Institute of Directors, a PhD in biomedical science from Ulster University, and a B.Sc in biomedical sciences with a diploma in industrial studies from Ulster University.
