David Samu has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to the present. David began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher for the Computational Neuroscience Group of the KFKI, HAS in 2007. David then moved to the University of Sussex in 2009, where they held the roles of Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant. In 2014, they became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, where they conducted cognitive neuroscience experiments, analysed demographic, behavioural and neuroimaging data, and presented and published research results. In 2016, they became a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where they analysed behavioural and electrophysiological recordings of behaving monkey experiments and modelled and simulated learning and decision making processes in biologically realistic neural network models. In 2019, they began working at Morgan Stanley as a Quantitative Analyst, and at LiveEO as a Chief Technology Officer, Head of Machine Learning, and Machine Learning Engineer.
David Samu completed a PhD in Computer Science and Computational Neuroscience from the University of Sussex between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Evolutionary and Adaptive Systems from the same university in 2008. David also completed an MSc in Technical Informatics with a minor in Robotic Systems from Budapest University of Technology and Economics between 2003 and 2008.
