Shijing Xian

Shijing Xian is a seasoned technology professional currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at LiveKit since October 2025. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer and Techlead at Niantic, Inc. from January 2020 to October 2025, and at Google from January 2011 to December 2019, where work involved significant projects such as WebRTC, Hangouts, and Google Glass. Earlier, Shijing contributed to real-time audio communication at Global IP Solutions and embedded system software development at HULU. Shijing holds a Master’s degree in Digital Communication Technology and System from Chalmers University of Technology, completed in 2007.
