The fast paced, distraction-filled nature of life today makes it much harder than it should be to simply remember God’s presence in our lives. Think back to a week ago. Two weeks. Maybe even a whole month. Can you remember all of the answered prayers, gifts and mercies God provided you with? What about in the life of your significant other? Brother or sister? Church community? Friend group? Without the ability to readily remember, meditate upon, and respond in gratitude to God's presence in our lives and the lives of our communities, we too often fall into despair and struggle to live as joyful, firmly rooted, and empathetic ambassadors for Christ on this earth.

It was because of this very struggle that throughout the Old Testament God urges His people to place large piles of stones to serve as physical reminders of times where He provided for His people. These memorial stones were to serve as generational reminders, to keep the people encouraged and trusting in God, but here in the 21st century these stones have largely vanished…and yet the same challenge remains. This is why we built Living Stones; that you and your community could cultivate a regular rhythm of remembering God by placing these digital stones throughout your life and in doing so live with greater joy, hope and gratitude.
