Gary Hensley

Gary Hensley is the current CEO and President of LivingTree. Gary has over fifteen years of experience in leadership roles in education. Gary was previously the Director of Student Growth at Pearson Education, where they managed the ongoing development and integration of the Prevent application into Pearson's Student Information Systems. Gary is a national expert in the area of Early Warning Systems and data analytics. Gary also directed an outsourced staff of developers from the Ukraine in an Agile development process.

At Newport Mesa Unified School District, Gary served as the Assistant Principal from August 2006 to May 2007, and as Dean of Students from August 2005 to May 2006. Gary began their career in education as a teacher at Newport Mesa Unified School District in September 2003, where they taught for two years before taking on leadership roles.

Gary has been recognized for their work in dropout prevention with a Tech and Learning - Award of Excellence: Best New Product. Gary is also the author of “Lessons Learned in Early Warning Systems”.

Gary Hensley has a MA in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fullerton and a BS in Science Education - Biology from East Carolina University.
