Lixea
Anders Brolin currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Paper Province since May 2021 and for Lixea since February 2025. Brolin has held significant roles in the Swedish forest industry, including Chairman of the Product Committee for Pulp and Paper at Skogsindustrierna from January 2006 to December 2024, focusing on enhancing the competitiveness of wood fiber-based materials. Brolin's career includes leadership positions at Stora Enso, notably as Director of Group Innovation and R&D and Director of Innovation Management from 2010 to 2024, as well as Chairman of the reference Group for the National Support Group Sweden to the European Forest-based Sector Technology Platform from 2007 to 2024. Brolin has also played pivotal roles in academic and research initiatives, including chairing the FSCN steering committee at Mittuniversitetet and the VINN Excellence Centre BiMaC Innovation at KTH. Brolin's educational background includes studies at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1982 to 1987.

Lixea® (previously Chrysalix Technologies) is developing an innovative biomass fractionation process using low-cost ionic liquids. Currently, our society is heavily relying on the use of crude oil while products are discarded at the end of their lives. We want to change that, which is why we are developing novel chemical processes that enable us to live more sustainably in a clean world. Our first product is the Dendronic process that uses waste wood and agricultural by-products as well as sustainably grown biomass to produce a greener alternative to today’s petrochemical industry while providing unwanted waste materials with a new purpose.
