Alex Mitchem, CPM, currently serves as the Director of Business Development at LJA Engineering, Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this role, Alex held the position of City Administrator for the City of Auburn, Georgia from February 2017 to April 2023, and previously served as the Community Development Director for the same city from June 2015 to February 2017. Alex's career also includes a tenure as Vice President and Director of Planning at Falcon Design Consultants from December 2013 to June 2015. Alex earned a Bachelor of Science degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of West Georgia, completing studies from 1993 to 1997.
