Derek Brown

Derek Brown, PLS, is currently the Vice President at LJA Surveying, Inc. In previous roles, they served as Survey Manager at Manhard Consulting from 2020 to 2023 and held various positions at AECOM, including Deputy Survey Team Lead for the Central Region, from 2018 to 2020. Derek has extensive experience in the surveying industry, having worked as a Group Manager and Project Manager at AzTec Consultants, Inc. from 2016 to 2018, and as Director of Surveying at JR Engineering. They earned an A.S. in Engineering Technology - Land Surveying from Morrison Institute of Technology between 1998 and 2000.
